Webinar
Come individuare "le spinte" per raggiungere gli obiettivi aziendali
13/10/22 18:00 Europe/Rome

Abstract dell'incontro
Sergio Giordano
Lette of presentation by Sergio Giordano
My career path is very complex, made of many changes, always aimed to find the best about myself, and not the best job, but looking for a work where my best skills can better emerge and growth up.
Technical studies: from my early age, I loved all the technical stuffs, especially physics and electricity. My studies: Mechatronic Sensors Expert, Industrial Electrotechnical Engineering degree with specialization in Electrical Installations..
I was lucky enough to live my
study as a path of knowledge, with great voracity to know and increase my technical skills.
First job: I had several choices, but I decided to start working with a major engineering firm that was focus on development and
finalization of large supply and maintenance for huge Tenders Contracts. First impact with the reality of life: the World is not so clean as I thought, after 3 months I left this work to maintain my professional integrity, the reason for my resignation: ethical problems.
After this experience, I went to the Lear Corporation (Automotive Seats System), I spent only one month here, but I left my mark: the
electric adjustable headrests are still one of my best patents.
Next Step: Bitron Industries (Italian reality but international), I deal with components for home appliances, developing the first low-cost analogue electronic pressure sensor on the Appliance market (3 patents), so here was the crucial point of my career: I started to work on pressure sensors, technology that marked my life: the passion for sensors and their applications. I spent here 7 years.
I moved to the ITW Industrial Components, a Chicago-based company, with more than 100 locations that are diversified by market and products worldwide. I found here one of the people who meant the most in my professional life, Eng. Fabrizio Valentini AD of the Turin office then VP of the entire Appliance Worldwide group. The second most influential person in my career, is the Dr. Guido Sicurella, my Personal Executive Coach for more than 5 years and Director of Otto Walter Italia. In ITW I’ve got the profile of Global
R&D and Business Development Director, acquiring competence on Finance (P&L and BP), Execution, Customers Dedication, Top Management Tools, Executive VP and Board Management Interaction, Operation Experience, Sales Professional competence, a lot of training course in Finance and Project Management, etc. I left the ITW after wonderful 12 Years, to move to Flextronics Corporation, then in Robertshaw USA.
January 2017: I’m the co-founder of an Innovative Start-up dedicated to the Women Safety, developing an IoT fashion design bracelet.
This is my second working youth, I find myself working in a totally different world that I don’t know, but full of surprises and novelties.
Finally, I feel useful for a cause: to protect women against aggression.
2017 to date: Innovation Manager, Startup CTO, Executive Development Coach, Freelance Consultant in many different International Companies.
Pianist and keyboard player, Musician and Compositor, in a rock band since 1993. We play 6-8 times a year in pubs and/or summer festivals or public shows. Three years of music school in the Conservatory of Turin. Cubase software, programming of synthesizers and digital recording skills and practice. High competence in electronic audio systems and digital music.
Which is the common thread? I think I have always known where I wanted to arrive but moving the bar of the objectives higher and higher means, at the end, have paid, sometimes, for my ambitions. Now, starting from the experience that I have accumulated, I realized that more and more I have the need to share this experience with others and try to help them to do better, with balance between private life and working time, but always with high professional ambitions, and knowing always where to place temporally
and objectively the goals with a clear road map in mind.
The most important choices: what reasons... My choices have always been linked and guided to the people, never directly to the workplace, never to the category of work, never linked with career or position. I was always linked to the competence and personality of the people that worked with me and also the people who were my direct managers. My common thread has always been "Respect" in all forms, including esteem and education.
Values: in what I believe: Excellence: I have always asked myself the best, and where I cannot go to the maximum or express my best... it was because not exactly tailored to me.
Respect: Sacred for me, the guide of my life, for better or for worse. Respect for others always and everywhere is expensive for our soul, but always brings great joy.
Perseverance: Never give up at any cost.
Courage: The courage to change when things don’t proceed as I like.
Affections (Love and care): First, to love others, especially those who deserve it, to protect and love the closest people and family.
Creativity: Always looking for the invention that could change the world ... always looking for creativity, the flash of genius in people who can change the whole social environment.
